Mr. Luigi Pavone, MS, studied Computer Engineering at University of Rome “La Sapienza” and is currently a PhD student in Translational and Clinical Medicine at University of Molise. His PhD focus on developing a new electrode array based on Carbon Nanotubes for long-term ElectroCorticoGraphic (ECoG) signals recording. He did his master thesis at Istituto Neurologico Mediterraneo Neuromed, where he developed a software for subdural electrodes localization for epilepsy surgery. This software is currently patented (Italian Patent n° 0001419459, EP2979249 A1). He was project manager for a big research project founded by Italian Ministry of Education (“Polo di innovazione Cyber Brain” project) and during this project he was visiting scientist at Wadsworth Center NYS Dept. of Health, under the supervision of Prof. Gerwin Schalk. Currently, he is a member of Bioengineering Unit AT IRCCS Neuromed in Pozzilli (IS).
