Roberta Bosotti is Genomics Group Leader at Nerviano Medical Sciences srl.
She received her degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Milan and she was trained in bioinformatics at the Karolinska Institutet, CGR (Center for Genomic Resources), Stockholm, where she worked on the identification of protein functional domains. In 1998 she joined Nerviano Medical Sciences (former Pharmacia), as bioinformatics researcher, where she applied bioinformatics and statistics analysis for the identification of predictive/prognostic biomarkers and studied the mechanism of action of targeted drugs and drug repositioning. Since 2003 she has been member of the Bioinformatics Italian Society (BITS) and since 2014 she has been appointed Councilor of the Society. In 2007 she received the Farmindustria Award.
Her research interests include the identification of new oncological targets and of predictive/prognostic biomarkers using data from microarrays, RT-qPCR and Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) approaches such as RNAseq and whole exome.
